Background
Keep California Beautiful was chartered by the State of California in 1990 and is a statewide Affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. To encourage citizens to take responsibility for their environment, KCB sponsors hundreds of cleanup, recycling and beautification events each year, providing local volunteers with bags, gloves, recognition and resources to assist in cleaning up their communities.
To stop tomorrow's litter, KCB conducts litter prevention campaigns with such notables as World Champion Skateboard legend, Tony Hawk, Five Time Triple Crown Surfer, Sunny Garcia targeting males between the ages of 12 and 24 who are seen as the most prevalent litter offenders. We are always on the lookout for celebrities that will get our recycle and "Don't Trash California" message across to youngsters throughout the state.
Through its network of Proud Community cities KCB helps promote a litter free state one city at a time. With the help of our corporate sponsors, state and federal partners, KCB is fast becoming a household word throughout the state of California.
